Ribbon Skirt Contest Registration
Calling all Indigenous creators!
Come and showcase your talents and Best Designs at the Ignite Our Spirit Stage!
Space is limited to 45 spots per category/25 spots for youth.
Pre-registration is required. Last day to register is May 1st , 2025, or when space is full – whichever comes first!
Winners will be announced at the Ignite Our Spirit Stage.
Categories:
Ribbon Work – 45 Spots
Applique Work – 45 Spots
Youth ( Walkable to 10-year-olds) – 25 spots
There is a $20.00 non-refundable entry fee.
Rules:
- 1 person per entry (participants adults 18+ can apply to multiple categories, must pay entry fee for each
category)
- If you’ve ever dreamed of walking a runway, now is your time to model your own skirt! But, if you don’t want to model it yourself, you must bring someone to model it for you.
- Must be there in person on May 18th , 2025. Participants will be required to come and grab a contestant number before the show. (more info to follow)
- Must send in a photo of skirt by May 5th , 2025 (Judges will not see the skirts, this is just to ensure it meets criteria of category)
- Will be judged on the Design, Creativity, Presentation/Fit, Symbolism/Storytelling, Craftmanship and Quality.
