About the Manito Ahbee Sacred Site
The Manito Ahbee Sacred Site has been a gathering place for ceremony and celebration for thousands of years by the first peoples of Turtle Island - North America. Its name was gifted to the festival, which is also represented by the turtle, one of the many petroforms at the site.
In the Ojibway language, Manito Ahbee can be relatively translated to mean Where the Creator Sits.
