Spirit Visions

Eagle Vision presents, Spirit Visions is a celebration of Indigenous filmmakers in Manitoba. The celebration will consist of an Indigenous Film Panel (sponsored by National Screen Institute) , 48 Hour Film Challenge (sponsored by National Screen Institute) and the Indigenous Film Award.

The Indigenous Film Panel (sponsored by National Screen Institute) will feature local Indigenous filmmakers discussing their journey into the filmmaking world. Attendees will have the chance to ask filmmakers questions, engage in discussions and screen the 48 Hour Film Challenge films. Panel is FREE to the public and will be taking place at the RBC Convention Centre - Presentation Theatre, located on the 2nd floor. Check out our panelists and schedule here

The 48 Hour Film Challenge (sponsored by National Screen Institute) is open to all Indigenous filmmakers. You can enter as an individual or a team. Filmmakers will have 48 hours to write, shoot and edit a short film To keep things extra exciting, each team will incorporate a word and/or object to their films. Films will be screened at the Indigenous Film Panel and be judged by local industry professionals, a runner-up and grand prize winner, along with an audience choice will be awarded. The Indigenous Film Award will honor and recognize a Manitoba Indigenous director and will be presented an award at the 2019 IMA’s on Friday, May 17. View our 2019 Nominees here
