*Information Meeting for pageant contestants that was scheduled for Friday, November 7 is cancelled*

Eligibility Criteria

*Must be Aboriginal, North American descent
*Must be a Pow Wow dancer
*Must be between the ages of 13 – 17 yrs, Female, No Children, and Single
*Each delegate must be enrolled in school – preference will be given to those with exemplary attendance record
*In an effort to promote a positive and successful event, delegates chosen should also adhere to a drug & alcohol-free lifestyle.

Documents Required

The following items must be submitted to the Miss Manito Ahbee Committee:

1. Miss Manito Ahbee Pageant Application
2. Current Photograph
3. Proof of Ancestry or Tribal Affiliation (i.e. Photocopy of Status Card, Métis Card)
4. Proof of Age (i.e. Photocopy of Birth Certificate, Drivers License)
5. Two Letters of Recommendation (Non-Relation)
6. Short Essay about yourself (i.e. Education, Goals, Family, Interests, etc.)

Miss Manito Ahbee will be chosen based on:

*Dance Competition
*Public Speaking
*Private Interview
*Knowledge of Tribal Tradition.

All contestants will be judged according to the above criterion. At the end of the Manito Ahbee event, the contestant with the highest collected points will be crowned Miss Manito Ahbee for a year. The winning contestant will receive the following prizes:

*Miss Manito Ahbee Crown and Banner
*Other Miscellaneous Gifts
