Métis Celebrations

The Manito Ahbee Métis Celebration was a new addition to the festival line-up in 2007 and will be presented again in 2008.

The Métis nation is a rich and diverse culture that has many traditions, language, music and art to share with the broader community.  The two day celebration will showcase this unique blend of aboriginal and non-aboriginal peoples to foster a better understanding of one of the first peoples of Canada.

The Métis Celebrations during the Manito Ahbee Festival were introduced for the first time last year. The celebrations were designed to celebrate Métis heritage and history featuring Métis style fiddling and jigging that are an integral part of the Métis culture.

Dates and Venues will be announced soon. Please check back for updates.
