Joy Keeper
Joy Keeper is a member of the Norway House Cree Nation. She has worked in Canada’s aboriginal community for over twenty years in the areas of the performing arts, film and television. Her training and education includes the Theatre & English Degree Program at the University of Winnipeg and the renowned Centre for Indigenous Theatre in Toronto.
Ms. Keeper has worked for the past several years for the First Nations of Manitoba in the areas of communications. This has includes, the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs self government initiative as a talk show host, public relations and media relations advisor and most recently, with the Manitoba First Nations Education Resource Centre as the Communications & Conference Coordinator.
Joy is a Board Member of Manitoba Film and Sound.
